What are cookies?
Nowadays, almost every website uses cookies—small text files stored on the User's device. They are created by the User's web browser and store settings and information necessary (and often essential) for the proper functioning of the website. When visiting the website again from the same device, the browser can check if cookies containing important information exist and send them back to the visited website. This allows the site to recognize that the User has visited before and, for example, adjust the displayed content accordingly.
Benefits of Cookies
Cookies make it easier for Users to use websites they have previously visited. If the User uses the same device and browser as before, cookies allow the site to remember their preferences and display the content accordingly. Cookies help create statistics that show how Users interact with the website, enabling improvements in its structure and content. They also allow Users to stay logged in to the RoverVansGear website without needing to log in again on each subpage.
Managing and Deleting Cookies
Users can change their cookie preferences at any time. Most browsers offer options to accept or reject all cookies, accept only certain types, or notify Users each time a website attempts to save cookies. Users can also easily delete cookies stored on their device. The method for managing and deleting cookies varies depending on the browser used. Detailed instructions can be found in the browser’s help section or on www.aboutcookies.org, which explains how to control and delete cookies in the most popular browsers.
Blocking all cookies may cause difficulties in website functionality or completely prevent the use of some of its features.
§ 4. Purpose of Data Collection
All data provided by the Customer will be processed by RoverVansGear for order fulfillment and use of an individual Customer Account, including to facilitate communication between the Customer and RoverVansGear. Data may also be used to inform Customers about RoverVansGear products, services, and promotions and to pursue claims related to business activities, as long as this does not violate the Personal Data Protection Act of May 10, 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2019, item 1781).
If the Customer has given consent, their personal data—especially their email address and phone number—may be used to send a free newsletter containing commercial information, as defined by the Act of July 18, 2002, on Providing Electronic Services (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 344). Consent to receive the newsletter can be withdrawn at any time using the unsubscribe link in each newsletter message.
Customers can control how their personal data is used. In particular, they may withdraw their consent to receive the newsletter. They also have the right to request the completion, update, correction, suspension, or deletion of their personal data if it is incomplete, outdated, incorrect, collected unlawfully, or no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Additionally, they can object to data processing in cases specified in the GDPR, especially if RoverVansGear intends to process their data for marketing purposes or transfer it to another data controller.
Customers can make changes to their personal data by submitting a relevant statement via email to biuro@rovervans.com or by sending a letter to: ROVERVANS, Ul. Agatowa 23 / 33, 30-798 Kraków.
RoverVansGear reserves the right to refuse to delete a Customer's data if its retention is necessary to fulfill legal obligations or resolve claims.
§ 5. Right of Access
Customers can access this Privacy Policy (or Terms and Conditions) at any time through a link on the website www.rovervansgear.pl and may print a copy.
The preservation, security, and sharing of important terms of the sales contract for goods and services take place by sending the Customer an email with a confirmation and by attaching it to the order summary.
